The Alliance for Pulp & Paper Technology Innovation has selected an international team led by Miami University to carry out a project, under the direction of Dr. Douglas Coffin, titled Development of a Corrugated Box Model for Time-dependent Load Scenarios.
The team includes Miami University, RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, Scion (New Zealand) and Massey University (New Zealand). The project will employ finite element analysis strategies to simulate rate-dependent package loading, measure containerboard properties, and validate models for predicting performance.
The Packaging Testing team issued an RFP on 11/11/2019 seeking projects that address key R&D needs.
