The Drier Web Committee of APPTI is co-chaired by Lindsey Clifton (Domtar) and Gary Nyman (International Paper). They intend to update and publish a revised Roadmap. This is a very large undertaking, as the previously published Drier Web Roadmap, issued in 2015, required multiple workshops until the proud finished product was issued to the public.
Some progress has already been made. Their plans are to market a series of educational webinars on developments in the press section. These will serve as "pre-reads" for a workshop, bringing together industry experts. An evaluation of the current state in pressing, the re-wet impact, and active research projects across several schools and entrepreneurs, will result in an updated Roadmap to guide further technology development in this area.
